New Shoe Brand : Butter

These shoes we have discovered from Butter are very reminiscent of the 40's I think.  Very chic and stylish and just a bit retro.



Butter is the product of designers Nancy Geist and Lee Riech.    The designs are flirty and feminine from the perfect peep-toe pump to gorgeous flats.



The styles are very wearable and timeless so will take you from season to season with their style and amazing quality.






With Autumn just around the corner a cute pair of ballet flats are a must.  Put them with jeans or pants, a gorgeous skirt of dress, they will take you anywhere.

House Of Harlow - Nicole Ritchie Shoe Line

Love Nicole Ritchie's Style  -  well now you can wear the same footwear at a great price.  Her label (named after her Daughter Harlow) is a mixture of tribal-inspired moccasins, gorgeous pumps and original, unique sandals.  


You just have to follow Nicole's style to know that apart from a brief period in "The Simple Life" where her style was truly questionable, she has become a style icon.  Sandals added to a sleek or floaty dress, high high pumps with leggings or skinny jeans.  


There is a definite feel of the 1960's in some of House of Harlow's designs, with a contemporary twist.  This provides the urban sophistication that we are all after.

Summer Is Here

Wow, so hot today, I was melting.  Of course I have strange children that will spend the day complaining if I even look like putting on the air conditioning, and to date I have refrained, but those days will be over very soon.

Thank God for friends with Pools.

So of course the only footwear for this time of the year is sandals and thongs.  So we have trawled through what Nine West have to offer and have just added some very cute summer shoes to the collection.

Great with Maxis, shorts and summer dresses, how can you go past them.

For the casual thong or flip flop look I really love these ReWired Sandals by Nine West.  Black with a touch of tan, these will go with almost any colour.  Whilst they have lovely detail they are plain enough not to take over the outfit.  You will wear these with everything.

However for something that is a bit of fun, and will take over your outfit the Ira Ankle Strap Platform Sandals are fantastic.  Lots of candy colours, high high heels and an ankle strap - so much fun.  These would look great with a plain white dress on a summer day - or jeans, always jeans.

Wedges - Summers must have

I really love a good Wedge.  I feel taller (obviously) and they give the legs a slender look without being overdressed, which in Queensland is not hard to achieve.  In fact in you live in Far North Queensland (my home town) you are overdressed in anything but shorts and thongs - stylish thongs but nevertheless thongs.

So I am relishing the resurgence of Wedges this season and have picked some great ones from Amazon to show case to you.  Some of course are a more corporate or evening look, but many are of the sandal variety, so great with maxi dresses or skirts, cute dressy shorts or a flirty summer dress. 

Wedges are far more easier to walk in then traditional high heels (although if you do fall it is from a height!) and seem to be more comfortable.  You can get that good 5 inch height lift from a wedge with only an include of maybe 1 or 2 inches with is far easier on the legs.

We have just added some great Designer names like Guess, Dollhouse, Ed Hardy and Kelsi Dagger and the prices are amazing, much reduced from buying in store.

Nine West Bargains

Nine West is one of my favourite shops, but one I regularly walk straight past because I know I will find something in there that I LOVE, but price wise, it is a special occasion store for me. However when I have bought from Nine West, my shoes and/or bag will last me forever, and I will use the items almost daily.

At Shimi we have found Nine West shoes through Amazon for a fraction of the price (prices are in US$ but don't be scared off by that because the AU$ is nearly equivalent!!) We have hand picked a few gorgeous summer styles in shoes for you, plus some great bright summer bags.

Not only are Nine West very fashionable, but wearing their shoes are a little slice of heaven comfort wise. And whilst Nine West are synonymous with style and special occasion, don't discard them for great work shoes (nothing to say you can't be super stylish at work!!). When you are in a pair of shoes for at least 8 hours comfort is essential.

One thing to consider with Nine West is that they are quite roomy and many people will comment that they could go down half a size, so if you are in between, go for the smaller size.
