I blogged a little while ago about the
Sookie Stackhouse Series
by novelist
Charlaine Harris
. As mentioned, they are light and fun and an easy read, but very very entertaining if you like something a little light hearted.
So I tracked down a few other novels of
Charlaine Harris
and just finished
A Secret Rage
. Again I thoroughly enjoyed it, but it was much darker and more serious then the funny
Sookie Stackhouse Series
. This novel was based around the violent and degrading rapes of several women that occur in a small town. It delves into these women's lives and those around them and explores how these people deal with such devastating acts of violence whilst the rapist is on the lose.
Again, it is an easy read but interesting and quite suspenseful. Well worth a read.
